Wildlife, Fisheries, and Conservation Biology
I'm passionate about leveraging novel data sources to understand how the natural world works. My work integrates physiology, ecology & evolution with a data science toolkit that includes traditional statistical tools and machine-learning algorithms.
My teaching philosophy focuses on three themes: connecting science to the real world, critical thinking & exposure to data, and creativity & communication. I teach data science, biology and environmental science in an inclusive classroom environment.
